Konie
A music Club in Studio Cobra in Stockholm. The people that stop by, they write a bit on the songs too. That's what the Club is about. Some bands recording in Studio Cobra also stayed and played with me during the nights.
Konie (Martin Ehrencrona) took his mother’s tape recorder from the 50's- it's a Philips. The loops are taped together on the tape recorder and that is what often creates the frame of the songs. The result is like something you never heard before. Half of the songs have vocals and half of them are instrumental. A lot of it is improvised and caught in the moment. You won't believe it before you walk home with The Club is Open in your headphones, but you will discover a new world. More then one has described the music as a sounding Rocharch test, like having psychoanalysis whilst listening. The songs are different stories being told, especially the instrumental ones, says Konie. You can hear what's enacted if you listen carefully. The important thing is what it makes you feel. Members of the club, in addition to Konie, are the poet Adrian von Pricht, Johnny Essing (bob hund), Mattias Bärjed (Soundtrack Of Our Lives), Malte Holmberg (Mazarine Street), Sebastian Aronsson (Elope), Robert Dahlqvist (Thunder Express, The Hellacopters) and many, many more.
